Hilary's Sponsors.

Hilary has been extremely lucky with her friends and sponsors. Many of her sponsors were there when she crossed the Channel solo, in 2005, and still sponsor her today. She is proud to have become an ambassador for many of these companies and organisations.

Oman Sail

Oman Sail Website

Oman Sail is pioneering sailing in Oman. They work with groups from all sections of the community, from children who have never been on the water to professional level sailors. Hilary met the team in Cardiff and was invited out to Oman for the next Extreme sailing event. Having eagerly accepted the invitation, she was then asked to come and talk to groups at the sailing school. Hilary is especially impressed by the women's sailing programme and has been inspired by their achievements. Many of the problems that have been overcome in Oman mirror the challenges that Hilary has faced. Hilary is proud to be an ambassador for them.

GAC Pindar Logistics GAC Pindar proper

A chance meeting with Emma Sanderson (neé Richards) at the 2005 London Boatshow, Hilary managed to secure sponsorship from Pindar for her Channel Challenge. It is without doubt that without Pindar’s support, Hilary may never have achieved her dream to sail across the Channel.
GAC’s specialist arm, GAC Pindar, is the go-to provider of integrated specialist services for the marine leisure sector, including yacht transportation, superyacht services, air, sea and road freight, yacht spares logistics, sailing event management, ship agency and corporate hospitality.
GAC Pindar is a strategic partnership between global shipping, marine and logistics provider, the GAC Group, and professional sailing team, Team Pindar. It was launched in 2011 and is headquartered in the UK sailing hub of Southampton. Hilary is a GAC ambassador, representing them whenever she sails.

Marinepool Marinepool

Marinepool sponsored Hilary for the first time when she sailed from Mumbai to Muscat. Since then they have been incredible, supporting her not only by making sure she is warm and dry (but not too warm) but also by helping with the design and production of a new seat cover and cushion. The cover will remove any need for Hilary to change into heavier gear at night time - until now a major problem on passages which extend beyond a day - whilst also keeping her dry and allowing her to sleep in comfort on deck.

RaymarineRaymarine is proud to provide support for Hilary, having supplied vital marine electronics ands navigation products for her to use on all of her earlier sailing challenges. Hilary's boat, and her support craft, are equipped with a range of Raymarine products including an ST4000 autopilot, C80 chartplotter, ST60+ instruments, and radar. For her safety at sea, she is using an AIS250 to provide details of vessel movements in her vicinity. Hilary and her support crew are using Raymarine hand held and fixed mount radios for communication. Hilary is a Raymarine Ambassador.

Ocean SafetyOcean Safety

Ocean Safety is a well-known and successful company specialising in the supply and distribution of marine safety equipment. They have provided life jackets for Hilary and the crew and a whole range of safety and life-saving equipment, including a danbuoy, liferaft, flares, etc.

Oman Air

Oman Air

Oman Air generously flew Hilary and her team out to Oman and back again. They could not have been more gracious or hospitable and our thanks go out to them.

UK BatteryUK Battery Sales, Sandwich

Hilary's first set of batteries for "Me Too" were provided, free of charge, by a local branch of a national firm. They put up with six years hard labour, including a total of 12 months either abroad or in a container before they were unable to hold their charge for a long period of time. It was to Hilary's amazement that the same firm were more than happy to provide replacement batteries completely free of charge again.
