Round Britain Dream

On 16th June 2008 Hilary set off in a westerly direction from Dover to sail solo around the UK.

Hilary and the team have today (13 August 2008) announced that, reluctantly, they have had to bring the attempt to a halt due to continued delays caused by weather and technical issues

About Me

Hilary Lister, a 36 year old quadriplegic from Kent, only able to move her head, sailed into the record books on 23rd August 2005 when she sailed solo across the English Channel by using a ‘sip and puff’ system of straws to control the sails and tiller.
