12 July, 2009 - Leaving Troon for Tarbert tomorrow
I was hoping to be writing this from Tarbert, but in between going for a doze in the afternoon and getting up, the weather forecast changed dramatically and we had a strong winds warning. The evidence was that the wind had swung round to the South, and therefore that the bad weather was moving in faster than expected.
The frustration of watching the night go past with no change in the weather was almost unbearable and means that we will now be stuck here until tomorrow night at best, perhaps Monday morning. It's hard on everyone, but particularly on Toby, who has the final call. With any luck we should get moving again in 36-48 hours.
On the team front, Jo (my "don't carer") has to go away for a week in August, starting 13th and ending on 18th, so if anyone is reading this who feels they could fill in for her on a paid basis (although not a lot) then please contact Paul, who actually manages to read his e-mail. I struggle a bit as speech recognition doesn't work that well with my e-mail program on the web. His e-mail address is: Paul@HilaryLister.com
Here's to sailing late on Sunday or early on Monday morning...
